Childhood Obesity Group And There Ads Rely On Fat-Shaming

This is the sickest thing I have seen OMG how can they saw they are brining awareness to childhood obesity by putting kids down by saying to them There's something wrong with you. Life is a test, and you're failing. If people treat you badly, you deserve it

What the heck is this kind of junk no way, this is right and you cant justify it at all. There is a much better way to bring awareness and to share the message of better health. Using children to say these awful things is sick, yes they are actors but guess what they got paid for doing a job but it was awful.

I am an advocate for the plus size community and for a better healthy living style, we are not blind to all the health concerns and all the complication that being over weight can bring. But using kids that are a heavy is just not the right way to share your message.

Perhaps using the kids in a different light, the kids working out, playing outside, skating making it a much more energetic campaign. And at the same time brining light to the hazards that come with being overweight. "Just a foot note not every fat person is sickly and unhealthy" .

I actually like what Mrs. Obama is doing with The Disney channel, why doesn't this group give her a call to retrain them in sensativatie . The Stop childhood Obesity group should rethink seriously there ad campaign there method is getting the wrong kind of attention and the bottom line is we all want the best for our children as they are our future.


It is hard enough being a kid and then to be overweight we get picked on even more. So lets rethink these ads and put a little bit more love in them with honest truth and not what this group considers straight talk.

This is wrong on so many levels and sick, they have to rethink there methods of sharing there message and to look at what they are really saying. This to me is a real WTFreak moment, and is anyone listening to what this organization is doing and saying. This is what I call modern day bullying just with an ad, how can you say that kids want straight talk, someone should contact them and tell them the differences between straight talk and trash talking because that is what it is to me and so many others.

Osama Bin Laden is Dead

Osama bin Laden is dead as reported today May 1st. 2011

WASHINGTON – Osama bin Laden, the glowering mastermind behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks that murdered thousands of Americans, was killed in an operation led by the United States, President Barack Obama said Sunday.

Bin Laden's death is the result of some as yet unspecified U.S. action
A senior U.S. official tells CNN that Osama bin Laden was killed by the U.S. forces in a mansion outside the Pakistani capital of Islamabad along with other family members.

"Justice has been done," said the president in a dramatic late-night announcement at the White House.

Obama said he ordered the operation after receiving undisclosed intelligence information. Senior administration officials said the terrorist mastermind was found inside a custom-built compound with two security gates. They said it appeared to hvae been constructed to harbor one high-value target and that for undisclosed reasons, officials became clear the hideout was bin Laden's.

Intelligence officials believed the $1 million home was custom-built to harbor a major terrorist. CIA experts analyzed whether it could be anyone else, but time and again, they decided it was almost certainly bin Laden.

Three adult males were also killed in Sunday's raid, including one of bin Laden's sons, whom officials did not name. One of bin Laden's sons, Hamza, is a senior member of al-Qaida.
Obama spoke with Bush and former President Bill Clinton Sunday night to inform them of the developments.

Obama struck a less than boastful tone in his brief announcement, although he said the death of bin Laden was "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al-Qaida.

"His death does not mark the end of our effort. There's no doubt that al-Qaida will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must and we will remain vigilant," he added.
Moments after he spoke, American officials cautioned that the events could lead to heightened threats against the United States.

Officials said the U.S. would ensure that bin Laden's body was handled in accordance with Islamic tradition.

We must all be cautious as this may just be the beginning of only God knows what, lets all be prayerful for protection for those who are still over seas and for those who serve in the military as some may try to harm them.

When we go to the ballet, we see these young ladies and men that are very slender and built and give a wonderful performance and we have become accustom to seeing this. But with the Big Ballet From Russia gives Ballet a truly new meaning and just takes our breath away, as we see all these plus size beauties show the world that big girls can dance.

And don't think that because these young ladies have a fuller figure's doesn't mean they don't work out as hard as any dancer do, oh no they do work as hard or even more so because of there size and yes there backstage room looks like a buffet. The reason for this is they must maintain a plus size figure and because they work out so much and dance they are losing weight, which is a good thing but they need the dancers to be of a much fuller size a BBW. The Big Ballet troupe of Russia, average weight: 252lb.

The plus-sized Russian ballerinas perform in tutus and on point, just like their slim counterparts, but they have a rule that a traditional prima ballerina only dreams of: If you lose weight, you're out.


They have no body image problems and welcome laughter from the audience.

"I'm not ashamed of what I am," said Tatiana Gladkih, the slimmest of the ballerinas, at 200 pounds. "We expect people to laugh when we show them something funny."

And the women certainly strive to be funny. The second half of the program is pure slapstick when the girls are paired with male dancers who are a fraction of their size.

You have to admire these ladies as they go out and dance there hearts out and show the world that if you are a plus sized person you can do more than what you think. You just have to go out there and try it out.
