Giving With An Open Heart
A lot of us remember the day we heard of the earthquake in Haiti and how devastated this nation was and still is, a lot of the people of Haiti are still living in tents. This nation has been in such dire need for such a long time. My family and I have been involved for the last several years with this non-profit organization Westside Children's Feeding Relief, and it has been a great privilege to do so.
In working with them we have learned so much about Haiti and its many needs and have seen the hardship that the people of Haiti have been going through, and how we can make a difference in the lives of these children and their families helping them by donating to them. You can donate, clothing shoes of any and all sizes, sneakers, tooth brushes combs, etc for the children and their families.
Their mission is to provide food, clothing, medical supplies for the children of Haiti and their families, this has not been an easy road as a lot of us have been affected with the economy. At the present time WCFeeding relief has now over 200 children in the province of L'artibonite, Haiti that can go to school and receive school supplies and uniforms thanks to the support and donations of so many.
As a lot of us are now on summer vacation, WCFeeding is in full throttle obtaining school supplies for the children of Haiti, notebooks, pencils etc as well as flip flops for them. And they are asking for donations to help them obtain these supplies for the children.

And all donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. We can all make a difference in the lives of these children and their families.

Jimmy Riffle's Old Florida Bar-B-Q Gator Boy Style
It was a packed house at Jimmy Riffle's Old Florida Bar-B-Q in Davie Florida, there were people standing outside to get in and have some of the great food and taking some pictures with Jimmy from the Gator Boys and with folks from Native village.
Instantly when I walked up to the BBQ joint I could smell the sweet smell of BBQ in the smoker. I was taken aback and wanted to venture inside to try this amazing southern cooking.
As you can see it was a packed house and you should have seen the line outside!
At one point when I was walking around taking pictures of what was going on, I stopped by a table with this amazing rack of ribs. The color and smell of this ribs had my mouth drooling, the women who allowed me to take a photo of her meal was ready to dig into her delicious food. This young lady said sure but make it quick these ribs are calling me, everyone at the table loved their food and were raving about how great all the food tasted.
I really loved how the salad bar was displayed and how many choices there are for you to choose from.
As you can see below there customers are very happy with their meal!! So come by and try this amazing BBQ joint, they wont disappoint!

"Sipping Tea with a purpose!" Hats! Hats! and more Hats!
The "Continuous Love" project will be hosting it's 4th annual Tea Party, "Lord! Guide Me To My Purpose" on May 4, 2013 at the Samuel M. & Helene Soref Jewish Community Center 6501 W. Sunrise Blvd. Plantation, FL 33313. Continuous Love project is a civic organization created by LS 1426, Inc in 2009 to provide "Care Packages" to... college bound students wanting to further their education.
Your support and dedication to being an organization committed to social responsibility and to the growth of our community development will provide the students with the necessities to make their college experience successful.
It also, provides pro-bono advisory and empowerment services to students and parents. This includes but not limited to mentor-ship enhancing self-esteem, embedding positive images, promoting sophistication and produces a successful lifestyle. Tickets for the this event is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. We also have a list of items that we think will best serve the students. Every young adult should be empowered to explore his or her destiny.
Our last event was attended by over 150 young ladies and this year we expect to exceed this level or participation. We've accomplished a great deal and so much more must be done. To continue our work, we need help urgently from the people who care about the quality of life for our Children/Leaders of tomorrow.

1426 Fashion Week Model Image Seminar Dynamic Panel
Tyler Molinari from Posche Models spoke on hard work and determination to peruse your dreams and the importance of having a great personality and to be confident be a firecracker. He also shared his personnel experiences with the audience the do's and don'ts to also make sure to learn the business study your craft,Tyler Molinari was just amazing and I look forward to the next time.
Ava Jones of Pheline CEO and Design Director gave implacable feedback to the audience as well as sound advice on how to make sure to know your measurements, what to wear to a model call and to walk with confidence. Ava is also a magnificent designer her clothing line will leave you breathless, its a must see and a must have.
Fallon Sinclair of IPM Models also shared her experiences and the importance of looking your best at all times when on a casting call, and the different types of models and modeling, a lot of the audience member's were not aware of this golden tad bit. Fallon also shared the importance of having a great portfolio and developing your own model walk/ runway walk, she had everyone on the edge of their seats longing to hear more.
Myra Patterson, CEO Chayil Models & Talent management shared with everyone the importance of investing in yourself and to get prepared standout share with the world what makes you different to help you land the job. To have different looks in your portfolio be always prepared, be respectful and polite to the designer.
And Linda Scott the founder and CEO of 1426 also shared with everyone her experiences and spoke on the importance of being healthy even if you are plus sized to take care of your health and body to always be at your best at all times. Take dance lesson's or yoga keep yourself active and even voice lessons to help develop your voice to speak clearly and even help your confidence.

China Mua Smith from Unique faces gave excellent advice regarding proper removal of makeup and how to keep your face healthy and clean. The ladies in the audience had a great time, the questions were non-stop especially form me. China answered all of their questions and shared some of her beauty tips and her famous oatmeal scrub.
